Traditional Tutoring

Extra support and guided practice with classroom subjects. We communicate with the classroom teacher to focus on areas of need, and build in weekly structure to help build confidence, understanding, and depth of knowledge.

Small Learning Groups

Grouping a few grade level classmates or friends leads to fun engagement, competition, reflection, and compromise. Truly understanding how others learn, guided by a master teacher to model, strengthens learners. Math club, readers theater, book clubs, writing teams - all have huge benefits to students unsure how to be challenged and connect in positive ways.

Enrichment/Project Based Learning

Tutoring isn’t just for students that are “below grade level!” Individual or small groups of students who seem to be “on track” or even “ahead” of the academic curve still need to be challenged and held accountable for producing work consistent with their potential. When students feel as though the work they do in school is easy, they have no reason to seek challenges…so let us tackle that!

Summer Tune Up

For all students, the summer slide is inevitable. There is no way to duplicate the hours spent in the classroom, nor do we want to! However, brushing up on past skills and previewing the upcoming grade-level material helps students with confidence and prevents the issue of “rusty” skills.

Middle School Boot Camp

The transition from 5th to 6th can feel jarring for some students. Gone are the days of one teacher knowing students in depth, and now students manage multiple teachers, classrooms, lockers, binders, and expectations.

Drop in for some practice with upcoming subjects, organization, why a planner is your friend, and more!

Designed to be a mix of practice and organization, let’s start middle school off on the right foot!
